How it works

Choose a harmony and a palette size from three to six colors.
Generate a palette, then lock any swatches you want to keep on the next draw.
Copy HEX values or CSS variables. Each swatch previews black or white text with its measured contrast.

Harmony and readability are different

Harmony controls hue relationships. Saturation and lightness vary. Locked colors stay exactly as they are, even if you change harmony, so mixed locks can depart from the selected pattern. Text contrast is calculated against the individual swatch only.

Your inputs stay with you

Your entries, settings and results are processed in this browser and are not sent to our server. Clearing browser data removes saved drafts and results. Export a text file if you want to keep a copy. Hosting may record standard page-request logs.

Does a harmonious palette pass accessibility checks?

Not automatically. The preview uses whichever of black or white has higher contrast with that swatch and shows that ratio. Test the actual foreground/background pairs, font sizes, states and neighboring colors in your design.
