How it works
- Enter one person per line. Give people with the same name a distinguishing label if you need to tell them apart.
- In Settings, choose a number of teams or a maximum number of people per team.
- Make teams, then copy, export or choose Print / Save PDF. Your browser’s print dialog lets you select a printer or save a PDF. Make teams again to reshuffle; the previous grouping remains in Results.
Random groups, balanced sizes
Every entry is shuffled with cryptographic randomness and assigned to exactly one team. Team sizes differ by at most one, with any extra entries going to the first teams. This balances group size; it does not account for skill, experience or other personal attributes.
Your inputs stay with you
Your entries, settings and results are processed in this browser and are not sent to our server. Clearing browser data removes saved drafts and results. Export a text file if you want to keep a copy. Hosting may record standard page-request logs.
What if the list does not divide evenly?
The first teams receive one extra person. For example, 10 names split into three teams produces groups of 4, 3 and 3. A maximum of four people per team also produces three balanced groups.
